Fangirl Day 1

So I'm a little behind but that's okay!

Adam Young: Also known as Owl City or Sky Sailing or my favorite band ever! Adam is an inspiration. His music is incredible. His lyrics, phenomenal. He also is very open about his faith. (Plus he not bad looking either! ;) ) If you have never listened to his music you NEED to go do it. NOW!

Glee: My FAVORITE TV show. It is so unrealistic, it's amazing. 'Hey, everybody, let's randomly break out in song and dance! Life is a musical!' But it has some realistic moments, too. It's funny and I love all the great characters. Oooooo and there's a new episode on tonight! <3

Old Musicals: If you've never seen a musical performed on stage, you are really missing out. If you've never a musical movie, you are just plain deprived! A couple weeks ago I went on my library's online catalog and I requested a bunch of old musicals on DVD. This last weekend I watched The Bandwagon, Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly, and a weird Alice in Wonderland musical..... They were so charming! The stories were clean (Guys and Dolls includes gambling and the girl is a show dancer but otherwise clean) The characters were great and the songs amazing. It makes me so sad that musicals have become kind of a dying breed. If you can't sing about your problems, what CAN you do????

Tangled: My favorite movie and the BEST Disney movie. I have not talked to one person, male or female, young or old, who does not like this movie. It is so charming and it combines romance, adventure, and comedy. It is completely clean and totally lloveable! Looooooooooove it!

More fangirl fun to come! :)

  3. Haha, Tangled is great! Hm, an older musical I like is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (or something very similar), and I recently saw Oklahoma on stage, which was great. It's sad how many people our age are ignorant about how awesome those productions really were! Oh, and I just wanted to let you know I'm having a giveaway, and that followers get extra entries, so if the prize sounds like something you're interested in you'd have a decent shot :). You can see the post here:http://reflectionsofelizabeth.blogspot.com/2011/05/big-100-giveaway.html
    Talk to you later!

  5. Tangled is the best thing since sliced bread. Hands down.

Hoorah, someone else who appreciates musicals!! I feel so sorry for people who haven't ever seen a stage musical...they're the most amazing things ever! And then there's those weirdos who don't even like musicals--even movie versions. ;P Agh, they don't know what they're missing out on!
