Let it all out

Have you ever tried to pack a suitcase that was too small for the amount of stuff you have? You're tyring to shove it all in quick so you can zip it, but whenever you stuff more in something else tries to come out. Sometimes we're like a suitcase. We try to shove feelings, feelings, or grudges down inside, but we only hold so much. We try to cover up with a happy face and just move in. But we all know lik "cleaning" a room straight into a closet, hidden doesn't remain hidden for very long. Eventually we just burst out in this ugly mess. Please, do your friends and family a favor! Do not stuff it all down inside! They don't want to be blown up on! If not for them, do it for yourself. No one can really enjoy themselves with problems looming clse behind. (Don't get me wrong, I don't have this down. I am the Poster Child for burying! )

Perhaps this is a great time to release some steam. Forgive your "friends." Talk to someone about the thing thats been bothering you. Don't let life pass by while you struggle to maintain you load. Will you let another day go by with that fake smile plastered on your face? Let go. And live your life to its fullest.

Here's a song by Relient K that sums it up.

I have a shelf in my room that is mounted on a wall. The other side of this wall is right next to the front door. Sometimes if people are in a hurry or having trouble closing the door, they will slam it.
Now smart girl that I am, I have some of my most fragile things on this shelf. So when the door is closed rather forcefully these valuables will come flying of the shelf. Some survive the fall, others aren't so lucky. Last Sunday, a person in my family went rushing out the door and one of these fragiles came tumbling down. This poor ceramic picture frame, previously holding a photo of my father and me, was not one of the lucky ones.

For several days, I just denied it, ignoring the fact that it was lying in pieces on my floor. But yesterday I picked up the pieces and had to mkae a decision - Was I going to throw it away and forget about it? Or was I going to try and glue it back together? And it made me realize that sometimes we have relationships that are like my frame - they are broken.
Sometimes we deny that they are in need of repair and we need to make that hard decision. Will you just toss it away and forget that it ever happened? Or will you actually work at mending it and risk the pain and possibility of it not working out?
It would probably just be easier to forget about, but you have to think forward, would you look back and regret this in years to come?
Relationships are hard things and take time and work to heal. Are you willing to do what it takes to fix your broken relationships?

I've decided that I'm going to fix my broken frame. What will you do?

My, oh, my, what a beautiful day outside!

"And today was a day just like any other." (I'm Ready - Jack's Mannequin)

Today was a good day. No, nothing happened. Nope, no one said anything. It was just good.
When I woke up today, I decided that I was going to have a good day. I wasn't going to wait for something to happen or someone to compliment me. I was just going to be happy. I didn't force myself. It was just a decision and I stuck to it. Well, it worked and not only was I happy all day, it was also sunny!

Well I don't know if you're day was as good as mine, but I would encourage you to try this and keep a positive outlook on the day. Don't wait for other people to make your day, make your own day! In addition, if you see others feeling down, you should try to make THEIR day. Share the joy!

As you may be able to tell I'm really hyper right now. Actually funny little story, in PE today I was talking to my friend and the girl behind me was like "Oh my goodness, the faster she talk, the faster she walks!" Let me tell you, I was doing both prettttttty fast!

Ah, well anyway that was all I wanted to share with you . . . Oh! and this super awesome song that this post is named after! The video is weird but the song is great!
Be yourself! ~Jane Doe
